Three Short Love Poems

1. sometimes
the words we say
are hiding
the love we feel
are a camouflage
for the closeness
of our hearts
and
the sadness
is the fear
that we
may part
for we
are mortal
not gods
we are humble
and we stumble
but we are trying
to be light

2. Gurgle gurgle
splosh splish
the sound of a cricket
calling
for his love
in the cool of the evening
just before a storm
in the month of march
in an unknown country
where crickets live
without fear
of extinctions
and calling for his love
is the most important job
he need ever have
besides feeding on smaller insects

3. I walk with the sky in my eyes
glistening foliage
reflecting the sun
on the stream
below the bridge
I and my dog
today my heart
mourns the distance
and the possibility
of never knowing
