Recreational Egyptian Bellydance
Recreational Egyptian Bellydance focuses on the basic steps and movements intrinsic to Egyptian Bellydance. Ideal for those who wan to learn to dance for fun, so that when there hear Arabic music they will have a few moves that they can do and not feel like a wall flower. I aim to teach you that if you follow a basic family of movement you will be able to feel OK about doing your thing.
If you are keen to take your dance further and work on becoming a professional Bellydancer/Raqs Sharqi dancer, or Teacher, this is the place to begin.
The fundamental aspects of this dance are based on:
Soft slow feminine movements that work on the core, slow twitch muscle that strengthen and improve posture.
Sharp masculine movements that act on the fast twitch muscles that work on co-ordination and speed.
The feeling that the dance evokes and how the gesture of the culture that the dance originates from are also what give it it’s particular characteristics.
This class is suitable for all ages and levels of fitness with the emphasis being on fun and fitness.
